Hello I'm Cheryl
MUMMY | DREAMER | STORYTELLER

I am a creative, sensitive, and hugely sentimental filmmaker. I have been filming for over 7 years now, mostly beautiful weddings and I have enjoyed every single minute of it . Since becoming a mummy to two beautiful little girls, I have tried my best to document as many memories and moments as I can through film (as I can now appreciate how fast time goes!)

I drink hazelnut lattes regardless of whether there is a heatwave (very unlikely in Scotland) or a snowstorm (very likely in Scotland). I love a magical, whimsical forest, especially if there is a fairy trail; a walk through the misty Scottish mountains (even in the rain, which is more than likely) and travelling to new places to explore and learn all about new cultures.

Since my first daughter's arrival, I have changed how I approach filmmaking. As a parent, I appreciate all the small moments so differently and look to create timeless memories that will take you straight back to your most precious and treasured days.

When I look back on the memories of bringing both my little girls into this wonderful world; holding them for the first time (and not just feeling them poking their little hands or elbow through my tummy to say hi!); hearing their first little noises and seeing their teeny tiny finger curls, the happiness and joy in my heart explodes and its something, to this day, I wish I could have bottled up to bring out time and time again! My daughter's births were photographed and documented, which I'm so grateful for; photographs mean so much to my wee family (our home has memories from ground to ceiling), but film takes those memories to a different level of nostalgia!

Since having my girls and filming and documenting their lives so far, film brings our memories back to life so much more than photographs do; how they laugh, giggle, talk, move and interact with each other (they are genuinely the sweetest moments to relive)! To me, that is utterly priceless and is a time capsule of feelings, memories and love. Babies and children grow and change; we grow and change as families; the only thing that doesn't change is our memories, which should be preserved as the treasures they are!

I see what families may miss when they are caught up in the beautiful chaos of everyday life: the loving and cheeky little glances on their children's faces, their contagious giggles and mischievous smiles, and the love that just consumes the room!

I adore the power of memory and how a smell, a sound, or a photograph can transport you. It's my passion and honour to provide that beautiful time machine for parents and families.

& Family Lifestyle Films

Baby and Family Lifestyle Sessions are all filmed in the comfort of your own home to capture and reflect your own little bubble of life. There are no scripts, no staging or crazy overpowering camera equipment. These lifestyle sessions are unhurried, and the time of day will depend on what is important to you as a family to capture. Your home and neighbourhood are the backdrops to your life and are the best locations to film you all as naturally as possible, but we can venture to some of your other favourite places too, like a favourite park or beach if they are nearby.

I aim to edit your beautiful family film clips into a heart-crafted keepsake that will take you all back as a family to a specific time and place and remind you of the precious little details your heart clings to today.

Your family keepsake film is something for all the family, not just for mummys and daddys. You are gifting your little persons with a day from their childhood….a day framed by your love for them, and that is priceless!

Baby Joanna 'Then there were 4..'

I had the absolute pleasure of being invited into this beautiful family's home as they welcomed baby Joanna into their little world. Jenny and Gerald were past clients after filming their beautiful wedding at Altskeith House nearly 5 years ago now and I felt so privileged to film such a wholesome and beautiful afternoon and give them more precious memories to cherish.

" Awwww OMG it is so Gorgeous. I Love it!! I can't believe how tiny she was! And how quickly she's changed. Its fab, really gorgeous.
